Summer Open Day Two

Guess who won …
As ever, the afternoon and evening sessions seemed to just merge into one all day blur, at the end of which we have top seeds Dave Barnett and Paul Lord through to what should be a really good final on Sunday.
Brief highlights of the day were:  Scubs reffing three consecutive five-setters on court two; Eric Mok saving three match balls to reach 10-all in the fifth and then serving out; Simon Graham winning his third match of the day with the amazing 0-11, 17-15, 11-2, 11-3 scoreline; Chris Wall failing to put his immense physical advantage to use (see photo); Doug Walmsley’s you-have-to-see-it-to-believe-it serve; and the domination of the killer pool by the fantastic female freesome of Robbo, Dobbo and Wall-o.
There’s a few lunchtime matches tomorrow – starting with Mok v McNestrie at 10am, with a full set of finals and playoffs from 16.00, with the main final set for 18.00 (ish), followed by presentations and buffet.
You can watch the court five matches online, but it’s no substitute for actually being there is it (and you’ll miss the buffet)…

Updated draws (and no, I can’t really read my writing either)

And finally …. no, please don’t park like this, even if it’s raining !
