Tynemouth Squash is a friendly, thriving club, catering for players of all standards, situated at the North Shields end of the A1058 Coast Road.
We have a wide variety of memberships available for squash players, and for those who simply want to experience the social side of our club, we host a range of social events throughout the year in our welcoming bar, including live music and televised sporting events. There is also a number of alternative activities available to members, including table tennis, members gym and pool table.
We’re extremely proud of our top-notch, squash focussed facilities. Consisting of 5 excellently-maintained courts, including our glass back show court where we host some quality competitions and finals throughout the season, all our courts are available to book for members up to 3-weeks in advance. Whether you are a beginner looking to improve your skills or a seasoned player seeking competitive matches, our courts provide the perfect environment for both casual play and serious training.
It’s not just squash we offer however. There’s two table tennis courts and racketball equipment available to hire, along with a well-equipped conditioning room for warm-ups, work-outs and cool-downs.
If you’re looking to book a court as a non-member, just give the Club a call and a member of staff will happily help get something in the diary for you. Additionally, if you’re wanting to have a look around the Club before taking out a membership, just stop by during our opening hours for a friendly tour of the facilities.

The bar and lounge area at Tynemouth Squash Club offers a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for members and guests to unwind after a game or simply enjoy a social evening. Our competitively priced and fully stocked bar features a wide selection of beverages, including beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, catering to various tastes.
The comfortable seating, warm lighting, and friendly ambiance make it the perfect spot to catch up with friends, have a good-natured contest on our pool table, or watch live sports, including the PSA Squash Tour on our large screen projector. There are also many social events in the calendar, including live music nights, pub quizzes and many more, so keep an eye out on our social channels and noticeboards for upcoming dates.

We offer a wide range of annual memberships, with options to suit everyone, including our Full Adult Membership, our Couples and Family categories, our Off-Peak option, plus many more. We also offer a 3-month trial, so you can give squash at Tynemouth a go before committing to and annual membership.
When you join, you’ll be offered the chance of a free court session with our Head Coach, which is a great introduction for those new to the sport, or a excellent way for experienced players to be put in touch with others of a similar standard to play, whether that be for friendlies or in our competitive internal box leagues.
